Cold Weather Advisory in Effect Tonight Through Thursday Morning

While the Extreme Cold Warning has ended, a Cold Weather Advisory is in effect from 7 this evening to 11 Thursday morning. Very cold wind chills as low as 15 below zero can be expected tonight. If you must be outside, dress in layers including a hat, face mask, and gloves. Keep pets indoors as much as possible. Make sure outdoor animals have a warm, dry shelter, food, and unfrozen water.

Tuesday Crashes in Hardin County Result in Minor Injuries

Two crashes around Hardin County on Tuesday resulted in minor injuries. According to information from the Hardin County Sheriff's Office, the first occurred at just after 11 Tuesday morning at the intersection of State Routes 117 and 385 in Roundhead. Initial reports indicate that Michael Anderson, of Lima, lost control of his vehicle, which ended up off the road and struck a telephone pole. Ohio EMA Urges Residents to Prepare for Dangerous Cold and Winter Weather

COLUMBUS, OH – With the state’s temperatures expected to be dangerously low, the Ohio Emergency Management Agency is urging Ohioans to prepare themselves, their households, and their vehicles for brutal winter weather. Not By Choice Outreach is still accepting donations for their 2026 NBC Purse Bingo. You can contact the office at 419-673-9307 if you would like to make a donation. Pick up of the donation is available. Their Purse Bingo is scheduled for March 7 at the Hardin County Fairgrounds in Kenton. NBC Outreach is a free service offering gas cards, head coverings and more to those suffering from cancer related treatments.
