Kenton City Schools Outline Remote Learning Policy After Weather Closures

Kenton City Schools were closed again Wednesday due to weather but returned to classes today.Superintendent Chad Thrush announced through ParentSquare that remote learning will only begin on a calamity day after students have returned to in-person classes for at least one day. Ray Allen Draper Jr., 71, of Kenton, passed away on January 24, 2026, at his home in Kenton. He was born on June 24, 1954, in Kenton to the late Ray A. Draper Sr. and Catherine (Hendricks) Draper. He married Roberta Tschudy, and they later divorced. He then married Nyra Lynn Fay, who preceded him in death in 2015. Governor DeWine Announces 6 Projects Set to Create 348 Jobs, More Than $56 Million in Investments 

(COLUMBUS, Ohio)—Ohio Governor Mike DeWine, Lt. Governor Jim Tressel, and Ohio Department of Development Director Lydia Mihalik today announced the approval of six projects that will create 348 new jobs and retain 243 jobs statewide.  During its monthly meeting, the Ohio Tax Credit Authority (TCA) reviewed economic development proposals brought to the board by JobsOhio and its regional partners.
