Kenton City Schools Board of Education Holds April Meeting

The Kenton City Schools Board of Education held its April meeting Monday evening. Superintendent Chad Thrush announced that a public hearing will be held to discuss the re-employment of Lisa Cochensparger as the Administrative Assistant in the Treasurer’s Office. United Way of Hardin County Announces 3rd Annual Golf Outing

United Way of Hardin County's 3rd Annual Golf Outing will be held May 30. Shotgun start will be at 9:00 that morning at Memorial Park Golf Club in Kenton. There will be teams of four, and the cost is $30 per member with cart, $45 per member with no cart and $65 for non-members. Proceeds benefit United Way of Hardin County Partner Agencies. Kenton Tree Commission to Celebrate Arbor Day with Tree Planting

The Kenton Tree Commission will celebrate Arbor Day with a tree planting this Saturday, April 25.  Activities will take place from 10 a.m. until noon on Saturday at the Mary Lou Johnson- Hardin County District Library, located at 325 East Columbus Street in Kenton. Annual Blessing of the Bikes and Car Show Set for May 17 in Kenton

St. John's Evangelical Church and Christian Motorcycle Association will host the Annual Blessing of the Bikes and Car and Bike Show on May 17. Findlay Police Department Swears In New Officer

Findlay Police Department The Findlay Police Department announced the hiring of Officer Amanda Gilroy, who was sworn in Monday morning by Mayor Christina Muryn. Officer Gilroy, 24, is a graduate from Spencerville High School and holds an associate’s degree in criminal justice from Rhodes State College.  Prior to joining the Findlay Police Department, she served as a deputy with the Allen County Sheriff’s Office for two and a half years. Officer Gilroy will be assigned to the department’s Patrol Division.

Richard E. (Dick) Moore age 90 of Upper Sandusky, died at Vancrest of Upper Sandusky on Apr. 19, 2026. He was born July 21, 1935 in Marion to the late Basil and Helen (Beidelschies) Moore. He married Reginia “Jean” Wertz on Nov. 16, 1956, after 43 years of marriage she preceded him in death on Sept. 6, 1999.
