Fatal Crash in Hancock County Under Investigation

Construction Begins on Ohio Hi-Point Public Safety Building

Photo: Ohio Hi-Point Career Center Construction is officially underway on Ohio Hi-Point Career Center's new Public Safety Building on the Bellefontaine campus. This space will be home to the Criminal Justice, EMT, and Fire Level 1 programs, which give students more opportunities to train in real-world environments and meet the needs of local communities. Mt. Victory Man Sentenced on Tampering Charges After Acquittal on Serious Counts

A Mt. Victory man was sentenced Thursday afternoon on two counts of tampering with evidence. Andrew McCafferty was placed on five-year community control, with conditions. He must serve 180 days of local incarceration but was granted 129 days for time served. McCafferty must report to the Multi-County Correctional Center in Marion, beginning March 23, and he was granted work release upon filing an approved Work Release Contract.
