One kilo of fentanyl was confiscated at an undisclosed location in Allen County earlier this week. According to a release, this took place after an ongoing investigation by the West Central Ohio Crime Task Force, with assistance from the Allen County Sheriff’s Office, the FBI Safe Streets Task Force, and the US Post Office. This case is expected to be presented to an Allen County Grand Jury at a later date.
Four people were arrested after a robbery at Dick's Sporting Goods in Findlay Wednesday evening. According to a release from the Findlay Police Department, officers were dispatched at just before 6pm to the Tiffin Avenue business. Dry conditions led to several field fires that kept area fire departments busy on Wednesday. One was reported at around 1:40pm Wednesday afternoon in the 20,000 block of County Road 100, which also included a combine. Just five minutes after that, a field fire was reported in the 5000 block of Township Road 180. An American Electric Power crew hit a gas line while working in an area on Ohio Street this morning. As a result, Ohio between Main and Detroit Streets was closed while repairs were made. Also, the Kenton Municipal and Courthouse Annex Buildings were evacuated. The Hardin County Commissioners have decided to close the Annex Building for the rest of the day.

Donald Eugene Miller, age 66 of Kenton, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 1, 2025, at his residence in Lima, surrounded by friends. He was born on October 4, 1958, in Kenton, to Jackie Andrew and Jeanette Jean (Shields) Miller and they preceded him in death. He married Delores Harmon on November 25, 1977, and she survives.
