Hardin County SOUP will be serving meals next week. The free meals will be served from 11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. in the lower level of the Moose Family Center, located at 801 West Lima Street in Kenton. Everyone is welcome. Hardin County SOUP thanked the Moose Lodge, Elks Lodge, Small Batches, Edison Klingler, Church of Christ - Mt. Victory and Abundant Life Assembly of God Church-Real Kids Camp.
There's been a change made to an intersection in the Village of Ada. Drivers are encouraged to exercise caution on Turner Avenue where it intersects with West Street. The intersection has been upgraded to a three-way stop in an effort to improve safety ahead of the new school year. Motorists are encouraged to slow down, stay alert, and be mindful of increased traffic and pedestrian activity as students return to school.
Market on Main is back tomorrow. They hours are 9:00 AM until Noon at the corner of Main and Ohio Streets, behind Middlefield Bank in Kenton. The Farmer's Market features fresh local foods and other local vendors. Market on Main is a collaborative project of the Kenton Historic Courthouse District and City of Kenton Government.
Ada Area Chamber of Commerce The 10th Annual Made in Ada Wilson Football Festival is set to kick off tomorrow. There will be live music, food and drinks, football fun and a dunk tank with ONU football. Also taking place are the Hot Wing Challenge and Beer Stein Holding Contests. In addition, kids’ face paint with ONU Cheer and inflatable games will be part of the fun. The event runs from 5:00-10:00 Saturday night at the Ada Depot Park.
United Way of Hardin County -Ohio United Way of Hardin County held its annual Kick-Off Breakfast for the 2026-27 campaign. Executive Director Martha Nau announced the goal this year is to raise $200,000. She noted that is the same as last year, when they raised $182,000. LIMA – The Ohio State Highway Patrol announced today that an OVI checkpoint will be held from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM tonight on State Route 309 near milepost 17 in Allen County.
