State Rep. Jon Cross to Host Press Conference with Members of Governor Mike DeWine’s Administration on Legislation to Promote Seatbelt Safety

State Rep. Jon Cross will host a press conference with members of Governor Mike DeWine’s Administration on newly introduced legislation to promote seatbelt safety. The press conference will be held Wednesday, May 8th starting at 9:00am at the Ohio Statehouse in Columbus. The bill will specifically make the failure to wear a seatbelt or the failure to properly secure a child in the appropriate booster seat or seat belt a primary offense. Current law designates this as a secondary offense.

Kenton Memorial Day Parade Set for Monday, May 27th

The City of Kenton Government, Kenton Lions Club  and Kenton Historic Courthouse District are planning a Memorial Day Parade on Monday, May 27th. Lineup will be at 9:00am at the Mary Lou Johnson - Hardin County District Library. It will move out starting at 10:00am. From the library, the parade will move west on Columbus, turn left onto Cherry Street, then turn left on Franklin Street, then left on Jacob Parrott Boulevard and end at the TSC parking lot.

A trial date has been set for an Ada man who was arrested and charged in Grant County, Indiana after he allegedly traveled to Marion, Indiana from Ohio in what he believed was a prearranged meeting to pick up children under the age 14 for sexual exploitation. 64 year old Dennis J. Jury Trial Scheduled for Dunkirk Man Indicted Last Month

A Dunkirk man was indicted earlier last month on multiple counts. According to documents filed in Hardin County Common Pleas Court, 28 year old Cody R. Switzer was indicted on five counts of illegal use of a minor or impaired person in nudity-oriented material of performance and one count each of falsification and tampering with evidence.
