The Mary Lou Johnson Hardin County District Library is holding a Puzzle Swap this Saturday, May 4th. It is open to the public from 1:00pm until 3:00pm that afternoon for anyone to pick out free puzzles. Ohio Northern University dedicated its new state-of-the-art softball facility – Durbin-Hileman Softball Stadium over this past weekend. The stadium is named in recognition of lead donors and longtime University supporters Melinda (Durbin) Hileman and David Hileman. The stadium is home to the university’s women’s softball team, and it features large dugouts, a new scoreboard with updated technology, padded backstop, upgraded press box, permanent bleachers with bucket seating, field lighting, and natural turf. The Findlay-Hancock County Chamber of Commerce will host Fresh Brewed Business on Tuesday, May 7th. The hours will be from 8:00 a.m. to 9:00 a.m. at the Marathon Center for the Performing Arts. Bluffton University has named the students who will serve as President's Ambassadors during the 2024-25 academic year. One of the 21 new ambassadors is Gracie Christensen from McGuffey. Hardin County Fair Dairy Beef Feeder weigh-in will take place on May 18th. It will be held from 8 until 10:30 that morning at the Hardin County Fairgrounds in Kenton. The due date to register for the weigh-in is May 10. All dairy beef feeders will be tagged, weighed and receive vaccinations. Ridgemont School is hosting Spring Literacy Night. It will be held from 5 until 6:30pm on May 8. Those attending will be able to check out the Famous Ohioans Wax Museum, Student Career Fair and learning stations. There will be something for everyone to enjoy.
