Findlay Police Department Reports Scam Phone Calls

The Findlay Police Department received a report that an anonymous person is calling residents, claiming to represent the “Findlay Police Fund” and seeking donations.   According to a release from the department, no such organization exists and the Findlay Police Department is not soliciting donations from the public.   If you receive a similar call, hang up and do not engage with the caller.

Rhodes State Holding Scholarship Awards Reception

Two Men Injured in Separate Brush Fires in Wyandot County

Two Wyandot County residents were injured in separate events by using gasoline to start brush fires on their properties.   The first occurred Saturday at a residence in the 5000 block of Township Highway 11 in Sycamore where Michael Gobs suffered severe burns to both of his legs.   The second happened Sunday in the 8000 block of County Highway 91 in Wharton, where the victim was identified as Bill Rickle.   Both men were taken by helicopter to St. […]
