Numerous Items Stolen from Garage in Kirby

A garage in Kirby was broken into and several items were stolen.   According to the Wyandot County Sheriff's Office report, deputies were dispatched to a residence on Jackson Street over the weekend where they found that a door had been pried open to gain entry.   The incident occurred sometime within the past six weeks, but wasn't discovered until this past Saturday.   Numerous tools and some stereo equipment were stolen.   No value was listed for the missing […]

Car Heavily Damaged in Wyandot County Crash

A driver escaped injury in a weekend crash that occurred in Wyandot County.   According to the report from the Wyandot County Sheriff's Office, 55 year old Barbara Cornish, of Upper Sandusky, fell asleep while driving west on County Highway 182. The car went off the right side of the road and struck a utility pole causing heavy damage.   Cornish was cited for failure to control.

Rape Suspect Arrested in Marion

A suspect wanted for rape in Cleveland was arrested in Marion Sunday morning.   NBC 4 in Columbus reported that Marion police stopped a car at the intersection of Center and Main Street when the driver got out of the car and started running.   A foot chase spanned nearly three city blocks, but officers were able to arrest 30 year old Demitrus Solomon on a nationwide warrant for a charge of rape.

Teen Facing Charges Following Incident at Lifeworks

A 17 year old Kenton girl is facing charges following an incident back on Friday at Lifeworks.   According to the Kenton Police Department report, officers were requested at Lifeworks on Decatur Street to assist a probation officer with an arrest.   The girl has been charged with assault, resisting arrest and for being habitually disobedient.

Boys Accused of Attempting to Break Into Vehicles

Two boys were charged following an incident reported Saturday to Kenton Police.   According to the report, officers were called to the 100 block of East North Street to investigate a report of two juveniles attempting to break into vehicles.   The two 12 year old boys were charged with theft and unruly juvenile offenses.

Three Killed in Friday Evening Crash on 117 in Logan County

Three people were killed in a head-on crash that occurred this past Friday evening on State Route 117 in Logan County. The Bellefontaine Examiner reported that 41 year old Clayton Stump, of Lakeview, was driving north on 117 and his pickup was struck head on by a southbound minivan being driven by 19 year old Erik Snyder, of London, Ohio.
