ODA Announces $23 Million for Programs in Western Lake Erie Basin

REYNOLDSBURG, Ohio (Feb. 26, 2019) – Ohio Department of Agriculture (ODA) Director Dorothy Pelanda announced new assistance programs for producers in the Western Lake Erie Basin funded by the passage of Ohio Senate Bill 299. Informational Meeting Set for USV Students and Parents

Upper Scioto Valley High School students and parents,   There will be an informational meeting for Upper Scioto Valley High School students and parents about the next European trip on March 7, @ 6:30pm in Room 112.   The trip will be a tour of the Mediterranean in 2021.   Itinerary, cost and travel details will be explained at the meeting.   More information can be found on USV School District Facebook page.

HCSO Opening Saturdays to Handle Increased Demand for CCW Licences

The Hancock County Sheriff’s Office will be opening for limited hours on some Saturdays due to increased demand for Carrying a Concealed Weapon licensing applications.   Hours will be from 9 a.m. to Noon.   Saturdays currently scheduled are March 2, 16, and 30 and April 6.   Subsequent Saturdays will be posted at hancocksheriff.org and the Hancock County Sheriff Facebook page.   Applicants will be served on a first come, first served basis.

Kenton Top 20 Has Successful Weekend Competition

On Saturday, February 23, the Top Twenty show choir competed at the Voices in the Grove Competition in Grove City, Ohio. The group had a very successful day, which culminated with the group being named Grand Champions of the Small Mixed High School division against four other schools. Kiwanis Club of Kenton Conducting Fundraiser

Members of the Kiwanis Club of Kenton will have raffle tickets available on May 7 for a chance to win season tickets for all home football games of The Ohio State University. The cost will be $5.00 per raffle ticket. The seats are on C Deck approximately the 30 yard line. The proceeds will benefit the community service endeavors of the Kiwanis Club of Kenton. Ribbon Cutting Ceremony Scheduled at Kenton Business

A Ribbon Cutting Ceremony has been scheduled at a new downtown Kenton business.   The Hardin County Chamber and Business Alliance will conduct the ceremony at the Lofts, located at 116 North Detroit Street this coming Friday March 1 at noon.   The Lofts at Detroit offers furniture repair and upholstery service, a wedding venue and party entertainment service.

Authorities Raid Findlay Business on Monday
