United Way of Hancock County President and CEO Announces Retirement

John Urbanski announced his retirement as president and CEO of the United Way of Hancock County effective yesterday. Urbanski joined the organization on January 1, 2013. The Board of Directors will be seeking a replacement for Urbanski over the next several months. CEO8 Consulting, led by Chris Ostrander, will serve in the executive leadership capacity throughout the transition to a permanent replacement for Urbanski.

Wapakoneta used a big second quarter to roll past Kenton 64-29 in Division II boys basketball sectional tournament play at Findlay. The Redskins improve to 14-9 and will meet Defiance for the sectional crown Friday at Findlay. The Wildcats end their season with a 14-9 record. Kenton Woman Arrested in Logan County

A Kenton woman was arrested Wednesday in Logan County on a warrant out of the Kenton Police Department.   According to the report, the Logan County Sheriff's Office informed Kenton police that that they had 22 year old Taylor Barnett in custody.   An officer met a deputy at the Logan and Hardin County line and took custody of Barnett.   She was then transported to the Multi County Jail in Marion.

Fraudulent Charge Made to Credit Card of Kenton Man

A Kenton man reported a fraudulent charge was made to his debit card recently.   According to the Kenton Police Department report, the man said a charge of nearly $60 showed up on his statement.   His card was used to make a purchase online, and the items were delivered to an address in Florida.   The incident is under investigation.

Driver Cited Following Wyandot County Crash

A Findlay man escaped injury in a crash that occurred Wednesday afternoon in Wyandot County.   According to the report from the Wyandot County Sheriff's Office, 71 year old Earnest Davis apparently blacked out while driving west in the 1300 block of State Highway 568.   The pickup, which was pulling a trailer, went off the left side of the road where it struck a sign and a utility pole.
