Rape Aggression Defense Class Offered in Lima

A R.A.D. or Rape Aggression Defense class is being offered in Lima.   The Lima Police Department and Lima Public Library are offering the class.   It will be held Saturday March 9 from 8am to 5pm at the library located at 650 West Market Street in Lima.   Lima Police Department Community Oriented Policing Officers will be the instructing the class, which is free of charge.   Registrations are required, contact the Lima Public Library at 419-228-5113 to register.

Church in the Park Holding Soup & Sandwich Supper

A Soup and Sandwich Supper is being held by the Community Church in the Park organization.   It will be served this evening from 4 until 6 in the Riverdale School Cafeteria.   Tickets are $5 and can be purchased by calling Ken Gray at 419-273-2089 or Lisa O'Flaherty at 419-273-3328. Peebles to Become Gordmans Sometime this Summer

WL-S Coach Will Not Face Criminal Charges

No criminal charges will be filed against the varsity wrestling coach at West Liberty-Salem High School.   WPKO Radio reported that Dave Clem had been accused of being too rough during a wrestling drill with a 16 year old student.   The two were said to have exchanged words after the drill.   Following an investigation that was launched in February, the Logan County Prosecutor's Office and Bellefontaine City Prosecutor opted against pursuing assault charges against the coach.   Clem […]

Box Truck Fire Near Downtown Kenton

A box truck caught fire near downtown Kenton Thursday at around noon. According to information from the Kenton Fire Department, welding equipment in the cargo area caught fire. The driver told firefighters that he had just finished a job in Columbus, and as he slowed down in Kenton, he smelled smoke.   He drove the truck from Detroit onto Carrol Street, and pulled to the side of the road near the entrance to the FLR Insurance Center parking lot.   […]
