UF Ranked No. 1 Church of God-affiliated University in the Nation

The University of Findlay has been ranked the best in the nation as a Church of God-affiliated institution. The Bellefontaine Police Department Youth Academy will be holding two separate classes on March 2 and March 9, 2019.   Each class is a day long learning opportunity and these classes are open to High School, Juniors or Seniors who are interested in learning more about a law enforcement career.   Pick up an application at the Bellefontaine Police Department to enroll in one of the classes.

MPD Holding Kids Event on Wednesday

The Marion Police Department will hold the final Cops, Kids, Cookies and Cocoa event of the season Wednesday evening.   It will take place at the Women's Club Home at 1126 East Center Street from 5:30 until 7:30.   Games and other activities will be set up to go along with the cookies and cocoa.

Shawnee Defeats Kenton in Girls Basketball

Kenton High School Girls Varsity Basketball falls to Shawnee Local Schools 56-32. The Cats were led by Hannah Holland with 12 points while Jenna Manns added 8 points. Shawnee was led by Tessa Jordan with 18 points while Trinity Gearing had 11 points.

Law Enforcement Looking for Suspect in Vehicular Assault Case

Hardin County law enforcement officials are seeking assistance in locating a person of interest in an aggravated vehicular assault investigation.   Anyone with information concerning the whereabouts of Thomas F. Snyder Jr. should call the Hardin County Sheriff's Office TIP LINE @ (419) 675-8475.   The incident occurred in the city of Kenton on March 3, 2017.

KENTON-Hardin Co. Soroptimist International announced the Club 250 winner for week 12.   Cheryl Fouts will receive $100.   Club 250 is a fundraiser that helps to award scholarships to local women and girls.

West Mansfield Man Arrested for Domestic Incident

A Logan County domestic disturbance incident over the weekend landed a West Mansfield man in jail.   WPKO Radio reported that 40 year old Erik Engstrom is alleged to have thrown a bag of cat litter that struck a minor.   Engstrom told deputies he had been drinking for some time and became upset because he thought the minor stole his cigarettes.   He was arrested on a charge of assault and transported to the Logan County Jail.

University of Findlay Mourning Loss of Pharmacy Professor

The University of Findlay community is mourning the loss of beloved pharmacy professor Bradley W. Shinn, Pharm.D. He passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2019, at his home. Dr. Shinn was a Professor of Pharmacy Practice at the University, and had been a part of the College of Pharmacy since its inception in 2007.
