Indian Lake Hosting Yacht Racing Gold Cup Finals

Winter Weather Advisory Issued for Hardin County

We're keeping an eye out on the weather, as the National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Hardin County.   The forecast is calling for snow moving in overnight that could be heavy at times. Anywhere between 2 to 4 inches is possible by daybreak. School Shooter Appeals Sentence

The West Liberty-Salem School shooter is appealing his sentence.   The Springfield News-Sun reported that lawyers for Eli Serna have appealed the teenagers 23 year sentence saying that the judge erred when he gave the maximum sentence to the then 17 year old.   Serna took a shotgun to the school in 2017 and opened fire in a bathroom.   Logan Cole suffered critical injuries, and another classmate received minor injuries in the shooting.   Attorneys say Serna was depressed […]

Traffic Stop Leads to Possible Drug Charges

A Kenton man is facing drug charges after a routine traffic stop was conducted Monday evening.   According to the Kenton Police Department report, officers stopped a car in the 400 block of South Wayne Street.   A probable cause search of the vehicle was conducted, and a passenger was found to be in possession of drugs.   Several drugs, including suspected heroin, were seized, and the 50 year old suspect is facing a charge of possession of drugs.   […]

Crash Shuts Down Southbound Traffic on I-75

A driver escaped serious injuries in a crash that occurred Monday night on I-75 in Hancock County.   WFIN Radio reported that 28 year old Juli Allenbaugh, of Van Wert, lost control of her vehicle while driving north on 75.   The crossed the median, overturned and slid in the southbound lanes where it was struck by a semi being operated by 59 year old John Martin II, of Michigan.   She was treated for minor injuries.   The southbound […]
