Riverdale to Hire New Head Boys Basketball Coach

Riverdale may have its next head boys basketball coach. According to information on the Riverdale Falcons Facebook page, Andrew "Drew" Hobensack will be named the next head coach of the team. That is pending approval of the Riverdale Board of Education at the May meeting. Coach Hobensack has been the Junior Varsity coach for the last 6 years.

Allen County is now text compatible and can receive text-to-9-1-1 emergency messaging.  Wireless customers can send a text, up to 140 characters, to 9-1-1 in an emergency.  Text to 9-1-1 should only be used in an emergency when placing a call is not possible. Fire Chief Confirms Two Killed in Saturday Morning Fire in McGuffey

A fatal house fire is under investigation in the Village of McGuffey. According to McGuffey Fire Chief Jerry Ault, firefighters were dispatched at around 5 Saturday morning to 104 Hunsicker Street in the village. The chief confirmed that two bodies were found inside, but he would not release the names. The cause of the fire has still not been determined. Average Gas Price Surpasses 4 Dollars a Gallon

The average price for a gallon of gas is now over $4.00 a gallon around the region. According to AAA, the average in Hardin County today is $4.06 a gallon. That's an increase of 24 cents from last week's average price of $3.82. The lowest average in our region can be found in Hancock County at $4.04 a gallon.
