The Ohio State Highway Patrol reminded motorists to slow down. The Patrol reported that on Christmas Eve, a trooper stopped a vehicle on U.S. Route 24 in Lucas County for going 121 miles an hour in a 70 mile an hour zone. The Ada Police Department is accepting applications for the position of full-time police officer. The department serves the nearly 6000 residents of Ada. Some of the benefits include $23.80 to $25.04 per hour based on experience, 10 hour shifts and health, dental, vision and life insurance. Applications can be found on the adaoh.org website. The Ohio Traffic Safety Office has awarded over $23 million for statewide programming to improve traffic safety and reduce traffic-related fatalities.  164 grants were awarded to 135 local agencies in 62 counties.
