An early morning shooting incident in Marion on Sunday has led to an ongoing investigation by the Ohio Bureau of Criminal Investigation (BCI), following a confrontation between law enforcement and a local suspect. According to a joint release from Marion Police Chief Jay McDonald and Marion County Sheriff Matt Bayles, officers responded to reports of gunfire near the OK Cafe early Sunday morning. Fire damaged a house in the 100 block of North Market Street in Kenton on Thursday. The Kenton Fire Department was dispatched at just after 10:00 Thursday morning. The porch area of the house was fully engulfed in flames when firefighters arrived. The fire was quickly contained, but firefighters remained on the scene for several hours. Heavy damage occurred to the front part of the house with smoke and water damage occurring in other areas.
