OhioHealth and the West Ohio Food Bank hosted a monthly food distribution event at Home Run Memorial Park in Kenton on Tuesday. Nearly 300 cars came through with families who were able to receive food and household necessities. They are held on the fourth Tuesday of the month, with the next one scheduled for November 25. December's event will be held on the 16th due to the Christmas holiday.

Council members approved the creation of a new downtown revitalization district that aims to open doors for future growth and investment. The Ohio Third District Court of Appeals has upheld the conviction and sentence of former Kenton School teacher Dustin Clapsaddle. Clapsaddle was convicted on charges of rape, sexual battery, gross sexual imposition and kidnapping last year and was sentenced to a total of 10 years in prison by Judge Steve Christopher. A Belle Center man was found dead in his cell at the Auglaize County Correctional Center early Sunday morning. According to a release from the Auglaize County Sheriff's Office, staff members were performing their routine head count when they found the inmate later identified as 54-year-old Benjamin P.
