Juvenile Arrested Following Incident in Kenton

A juvenile is facing charges following an incident Thursday afternoon in the 200 block of North Cherry Street in Kenton. According to the report from the Kenton Police Department, officers were dispatched to the area to investigate a complaint about a juvenile with a knife. At the scene, officers arrested a juvenile male. He is facing charges of felonious assault and aggravated menacing. There were no injuries reported.

Our Place Restaurant prepares a no-cost meal for Veterans.  That takes place one day per week at the restaurant in Kenton. Liberty National Bank donated funds to support the effort. The annual Memorial Golf outing scheduled for Saturday has been postponed. The event is held at Memorial Park Golf Course in Kenton. It honors past members who have passed away. The outing has been rescheduled for Saturday June 5 starting at 9am.

Flags to be Flown at Half-Staff Over Memorial Day Weekend

Flags across Ohio will be flown at half-staff over the Memorial Day weekend. Governor Mike DeWine ordered that all flags of the United States and the State of Ohio be flown at half-staff in honor of Memorial Day. The proclamation covers flags flown upon all public buildings and grounds throughout the state. That is in effect until sunset on Monday May 31.

Liberty National Bank Awards Scholarship

A student from Fairbanks High School recently received a $1,000 Liberty National Bank My Money Matters scholarship.  Diego Shaw was a recipient. He will be attending Mount Vernon Nazarene University this fall studying Business Finance. The Hardin County Historical Museum is looking into creating a new exhibit on law enforcement and crime in Hardin County.  They are asking residents to share what comes to their minds when they think about crime stories in Hardin County. Wyandot County Authorities Seize Drugs and Other Items from Upper Sandusky House

Drugs and other items were seized from a house in Upper Sandusky on Wednesday.
