Kenton School Board Makes Thrush Hiring Official

The Kenton City Schools Board of Education officially hired Chad Thrush as the next superintendent. At a special meeting held Wednesday evening, the Board approved a three year contract beginning August 1 and ending July 31, 2024 with a salary of $110,000. Flags Ordered to be Flown at Half Staff

Flags were ordered to be lowered to half-staff across the country on Wednesday. President Biden issued the order in remembrance of the victims of the shooting in San Jose, California. Ohio Governor Mike DeWine ordered that all flags of the United States and the State of Ohio be lowered to half-staff until sunset Sunday May 30.

OHP Construction Trades Installs Wheelchair Ramp for Kenton Resident

BELLEFONTAINE, Ohio – Ohio Hi-Point’s Construction Trades students finished the school year by doing multiple community service projects around the district. Richwood Man Taken into Custody on Union County Warrant

A Richwood man was arrested by the Union County Sheriff's Office on a warrant. According to the Daily Media Release, deputies went to the Multi County Jail in Marion Tuesday afternoon where they took custody of 40 year old Bryan M. Baker. He was wanted on the outstanding warrant from Union County. Baker was transported to the Tri-County Regional Jail.

KPD Serves More Notices Concerning Junk and Tall Grass and Weeds

A total of seven notices were served by Kenton Police officers ordering residents to clean up their properties. Several notices were served in the 400 block of West Franklin Street. Walk-in Vaccine Clinic for 12-17 Year Olds Scheduled for June 1

The Kenton-Hardin Health Department is teaming up with Ohio Northern University Healthwise to provide vaccines for those 12-17 years old.  ONU Healthwise will be at the health department for the walk-in clinic from 9 until 11am on Tuesday June 1. The Pfizer vaccine will be administered to 12-17 year olds with a parent present. The health department is located at 175 West Franklin Street in downtown Kenton.
