Alger Library Summer Kickoff Event Being Held June 8

The Alger Public Library Summer Reading Program kickoff event will be held June 8. The program allows participants to learn, create, explore, and have fun reading all summer long. All ages are invited to participate. The kickoff event will start at 2pm on Tuesday at the library located at 100 West Wagner Street in Alger. A roll over crash occurred this past Tuesday night in the 300 block of North Detroit Street in Kenton. Opening day for the Kenton Swimming Pool has been delayed by a day. After being forced to postpone opening due to low air and water temperatures over the Memorial Day weekend, the Kenton Swimming Pool was set to open for the season Friday, however the temperature of the water is still too low.
