Man Arrested After Incident in Findlay on Memorial Day

Findlay Police arrested a man after an incident in that city on Memorial Day. According to a release, officers were dispatched to 1600 Lippincott Avenue to investigate a fight in progress. When officers arrived, the suspect ran into a garage and barricaded the doors. Kenton Swimming Pool Opening Now Scheduled for June 4

Due to low air and water temperatures over the Memorial Day weekend, the opening of the Kenton Swimming Pool was delayed. The pool is now scheduled to open this Friday June 4. The hours will be from 1 until 7p. By then, temperatures are forecast to rebound to low 80's for Friday and Saturday. Even better swimming weather is expected by Sunday with plenty of sun and temperatures well into the upper 80's.

100 Deadliest Days of Summer

Findlay - The time period from Memorial Day weekend through Labor Day weekend is referred to as the 100 Deadliest Days of Summer. The Ohio State Highway Patrol is reminding motorists to drive buckled, focused and sober. Last year, 452 fatal crashes killed 478 people during this time period. The American Red Cross and the American Cancer Society have teamed up this June to encourage people across the country to Give Blood and help ensure loved ones have the strength and support they need as they undergo cancer treatment. The 2020 Hardin County Fair Queen was out and about on Memorial Day. Allison Moore participated in the Memorial Day Parade in Alger. She said it was great to get out, enjoy the sunshine. Riverdale Holding Two Awards Banquets this Week

Riverdale will hold two End of Season Awards Banquets this week. One for the High School Girls Track will be held Wednesday, June 2nd at 5:00 in the cafeteria.  The High School Boys Track Banquet will be Thursday, June 3rd in the cafeteria starting at 6:00.  For both banquets, those attending are asked to bring a dish to share. Also, any uniforms that have not been turned in need to be at the banquets.

Parades and Services Signal a Return to Normal Memorial Day Activities

The 2021 Memorial Day Parade in Kenton takes place this morning. The parade is scheduled to start at 10am. All organizations are welcome to participate. Patrol Reminds Drivers to ’Buckle Up’ and ‘Drive Sober’ for Memorial Day

COLUMBUS – During the upcoming Memorial Day weekend, the Ohio State Highway Patrol will be highly visible on Ohio’s roadways promoting traffic safety.
