Purse Bingo to Benefit Safe Haven Scheduled for July 24

The 10th Annual Purse Bingo that benefits Safe Haven of Hardin County Domestic Violence Center has been scheduled to take place this summer.  The event will be held on Saturday, July 24 at the Kenton Moose.  Advance tickets are $35 each which includes 15 games of bingo. Tickets will be $40 at the door. Each bingo game winner will win a designer purse.  Tickets can be purchased by calling Safe Haven at 419-679-4147.

Kenton Man Dies in Crash Early Sunday Morning

A Kenton man died in a crash early Sunday on County Road 155 south of Kenton. A Celina man died in a crash that occurred Thursday afternoon at the intersection of State Routes 235 and 117 in Roundhead. According to a release from the Hardin County Sheriff's Office, Richard Colbert was driving east on 235 and attempted to turn north onto 117. Two Non-Injury Crashes Occur Within 15 Minutes of Each Other Thursday in Kenton

A Kenton woman escaped injury in a crash that occurred at around 4:50 Thursday afternoon in the 600 block of North Detroit Street. According to the Kenton Police Department report, a vehicle being driven south on Detroit by 28 year old Savannah Higginbotham drifted to the right side of the road and struck a parked car. Disabling damage occurred to both vehicles. Engineer’s Office Announces a Road Opening and Two Closings

The Hardin County Engineer's Office has announced a road opening and two road closings. McDonald Township Road 55, between State Route 67 and County Road 190 is now open. Beginning Monday May 24: .Liberty Township Road 30, between County Road 65 and County Road 75 will close for 3 weeks for culvert replacement. .Washington Township Road 50, between Township Road 105 and County Road 95 will close for 6-8 weeks for a bridge replacement project.
