Stolen Vehicle Recovered in Wyandot County

A vehicle that was stolen in Hardin County over the weekend was located in Wyandot County Monday.   According to the report from the Wyandot County Sheriff's Office, the vehicle was found at the Wharton Park.   It appeared that the radio had been removed.   The owners from Dunkirk were notified and arrived on the scene to claim the vehicle.   The incident remains under investigation.

Man Arrested for Domestic Violence in Wyandot County

A Tiffin man was arrested following a domestic disturbance in Sycamore.   According to the Wyandot County Sheriff's Office report, deputies were dispatched to the 400 block of South Griffith Street for active domestic with physical violence.   Jimmy L. Hurst was placed under arrest for domestic violence.

Amvets Post 1994 Holding Annual Poker Run

The University of Northwestern Ohio is expanding its curriculum offerings with a new Associate’s Degree in Light-Duty Diesel Technology. Applications are currently being accepted with classes starting in August 2020. The University of Northwestern Ohio has offered Diesel Technology as a major since 1973. Water Restored in Alger; Boil Water Advisory in Effect

The Village of Alger is under a Boil Water Advisory until further notice.   Water to the village was turned off Monday morning due to an emergency repair on the storm water project on County Road 90.   Service was restored around 3 Monday afternoon.   Residents should bring the water to a boil for at least one minute before consumption.

Only Minor Injuries Reported in Pickup Truck Crash

A pickup truck crashed on U.S. 68 just south of Kenton this (Monday) afternoon. No details are available at this time. WKTN was told that at least one person suffered only minor injuries as a result. As of late this afternoon, cleanup is wrapping up at the scene, and traffic is being maintained. More details are expected to be available Tuesday morning.

Credit Cards Stolen from Vehicle Over the Weekend

A theft from a vehicle was reported to Kenton police on Sunday.   According to the report, someone entered a vehicle parked in the 400 block of North High Street and took a total of nine credit cards.   The offense occurred sometime Saturday night to Sunday morning.   No suspects were listed, and the incident remains under investigation.
