MCSO Changes Hours for Concealed Carry Operations

The Marion County Sheriff’s Office is changing the days and hours that the public can come to the office to process Ohio concealed carry applications and conduct civilian WebCheck fingerprint background checks.   Starting Monday August 5th, 2019 the office will be open Monday through Friday from 8:00am to 4:00pm.    The office will no longer be open on Saturday mornings.   These hours also match the regular hours for the business office.   If you have a question pertaining […]

Four People Sentenced Recently in Common Pleas Court

Four people were sentenced recently in Hardin County Common Pleas Court.   According to documents from Prosecutor Brad Bailey's Office:   .Damien A. Stewart was sentenced to 2 years in prison on one count of possession of heroin.   The following three individuals were each placed on five years community control with conditions:   .Hank W. J. Season Tickets for 2019 Hardin County Fair On Sale Next Week

Hardin County Fair season tickets will go on sale all over the county next week. This $20 ticket allows one adult and that person’s school age children accompanied by the person free admission to the fair each day of the fair. Theft Reported to KPD Thursday

A Kenton man reported a theft to Kenton Police on Thursday.   According to the report, officers were dispatched to a residence in the 500 block of Decatur Street to investigate the incident.   The victim said a total of over $760 was stolen from him.   A suspect was listed but has not yet been charged.   The incident remains under investigation.

Barn Destroyed by Fire Near Findlay

A barn was destroyed by fire this morning near Findlay.   WFIN Radio reported that firefighters from the Findlay Fire Department were dispatched to the 2000 block of State Route 37 at around 6:30 this morning.   The barn was fully engulfed in flames, and several gas cans in the barn were exploding.   Mutual assistance was provided by fire departments from Arlington, Vanlue and Washington and Delaware Townships.   There were no injuries, and the fire remains under investigation.

Ohio State Patrol Promotes School Bus Safety

Findlay – This month, thousands of Ohio school children will be heading back to school. For many of these students their day starts and ends by riding a school bus. The safety of the students riding to and from school and to school-sanctioned events is top priority. From 2016 through 2018, 3,962 traffic crashes involved school buses in Ohio. USDA Designates 12 Ohio Counties as Primary Natural Disaster Areas

WASHINGTON, July 31, 2019 — Agriculture Secretary Sonny Perdue designated 12 Ohio counties as primary natural disaster areas. Producers who suffered losses due to three separate disaster events may be eligible for U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) emergency loans. This natural disaster designation allows FSA to extend much-needed emergency credit to producers recovering from natural disasters.
