Report of One Year Old Girl Being Raped Under Investigation

A rape involving a one year old girl was reported to Kenton Police on Wednesday.   According to the report, the victim's father told officers that his daughter had been acting differently for the last couple of days, so he took her to the hospital for a medical exam.   No suspects were listed, and the incident is under investigation.

Findlay Woman Indicted on Voluntary Manslaughter Charge

A Findlay woman has been indicted in connection to the death of a Mt. Blanchard resident.   According to documents from the Hancock County Clerk of Courts Office, 29 year old Ashlie Velasquez was indicted on charges of voluntary manslaughter, a first degree felony and tampering with evidence, which is a third degree felony.   The indictment alleges that Velasquez caused the death of Boe N. North Carolina Couple Killed in Allen County Crash

A crash that occurred Wednesday afternoon in Allen County claimed the lives of two people.   According to a release from the Lima Post of the Ohio State Patrol, 77 year old Suzanne M. Numerous Vehicles Broken into in Huntsville

Numerous vehicles have been broken into in the Village of Huntsville in Logan County.   Village officials are asking residents to check their vehicles and make sure they are locked. Personal belongings such as wallets and purses should not be left in vehicles.   Anyone witnessing such activity is being asked to report the information to the Logan County Sheriff's Office at 937-599-3333.

Ada Truck Driver Escapes Serious Injury After Semi Slams into Historic Building

A semi slammed into a historic building Tuesday morning in Marion County.   The Marion Star reported that 54 year old Steven Varney, of Ada, lost control of the vehicle while driving north on State Route 4.    The semi went off the right side of the road, travelled across a driveway where it struck a fence, tree and guide wire and came to rest after crashing into the Linn School Building. Deadline to File Nomination Petitions with Board of Elections Approaching

The deadline to file nomination petitions for candidates in non-partisan races, as well as local questions and issues including local option petitions for the 2019 General Election is fast approaching.   According to a release from the Hardin County Board of Elections, the petitions must be filed by 4:00pm Wednesday August 7.   They must be filed in the Board of Elections Office in the Hardin County Courthouse.

Arlington Man Charged with Second Count of Attempted Murder

Another attempted murder charge has been filed against the man accused of being involved in a hatchet attack in Arlington earlier this year. WFIN Radio reported that 37 year old Brandon Pinks, of Arlington, was charged with another count of attempted murder in connection to the assault on Breanna Lemos.
