Last night WGTE Public Media held the premiere of A Soldier’s Story: Never Forgotten at the Hardin County Armory. The documentary featured Albert Horn, a vetrean and the man who had the idea for the documentary, Dan Robinson who helped with research, Nathan Hursh, who is the producer and Sergeant First Class Joshua Mann who is an Ohio National Guard Historian. OhioHealth HMH Adds Protective Services Team

Kenton, OH - July 30, 2019 - OhioHealth Hardin Memorial Hospital has added a Protective Services team to its care site to help create a safer environment for its associates, patients, visitors, volunteers and medical staff. The specially trained team of professionals will work in partnership with the local Police Department and Sheriff's Office to resolve potential safety concerns. Ridgemont School’s No Cell Phone Policy Begins August 15

The no cell phone policy at the Ridgemont Schools will begin August 15.   For students, that means devices must be out of sight, turned off and in lockers before 1st period.   No devices are allowed between 8:30am to 3:15pm.   All students and classrooms are equipped with enough Chromebooks that can be used for school projects.   Parents needing to communicate important information can contact the office and it will be relayed to the students.   The change […]

Theft at Dollar General Reported Tuesday

A theft at Dollar General was reported to Kenton police Tuesday evening.   According to the report, an employee told officers that $80 worth of items that were on display on the sidewalk in front of the business were stolen.   A customer at the store is said to have witnessed the theft and recorded the act on a cell phone.   36 year old Brandon Bolling, of Kenton, was issued a summons for theft.

Forest Library Hosting Back to School Kickoff Party

The Forest-Jackson Public Library will host a Coloring Contest Back to School Kickoff Party tomorrow (Thursday August 1).   The event will be held starting at 5:30 Thursday evening.   Winners of the coloring contest will be announced.   The library is located at 102 West Lima Street in Forest.

ACSO DARE Program Receives Grants

The Allen County Sheriff's Office D.A.R.E. Program was the recipient of a grant.   The program received a grant in the amount of $2500 presented by Sam's Club.   Gayle Brock, from Sam's Club, said she and her team are big believers in D.A.R.E. and what it does for area youth.   The sheriff's office thanked Sam's Club for the donation.

WPD Receives Bicycles for National Night Out Giveaway
