Kenton Woman Cited Following Union County Crash

A Kenton woman was cited following a crash Monday morning in Union County.   According to the Union County Sheriff's Office report, 26 year old Kelsie Elkins was cited for an assured clear distance ahead violation after her car struck the rear of vehicle being operated by 48 year old Daniel Bentley, of Marion, who was stopped for traffic on State Route 739.   Moderate to heavy damage occurred to the vehicles.   Elkins was treated at the scene, and […]

Kenton Woman Reports Sex Offense to Kenton Police

A rape investigation is being conducted by the Kenton Police Department.   According to the report, a 57 year old woman told officers that she was the victim of a sex offense at a residence in Kenton.   A 64 year old Kenton man was listed as a suspect, but he has not yet been charged.   The incident remains under investigation.

Kenton Firefighters Dispatched to Silo Fire This Morning

Kenton firefighters were called to a silo fire this morning.   According to information from the Kenton Fire Department, firefighters were dispatched around 7:10 this morning to the farm owned by Dan Wagner located at 10759 County Road 175.   Several area fire departments are providing mutual assistance.   No other information is available at this time.

Commissioners Get Update from Hardin County Sheriff’s Office

The Hardin County Commissioners received an update from the Hardin County Sheriff's Office at a recent meeting.   Chief Deputy Dennis Burns said the Sheriff Keith Everhart is hosting the Northwest District for training. He said the Buckeye Sheriff's Association is looking into selling foreclosed property online and the trailing is part of the program.   Burns also noted that the levy has been filed and will be on the ballot for November's election.
