Bucyrus Man Arrested on Wyandot County Warrant

A Bucyrus man was arrested on a warrant Thursday.   According to the report from the Wyandot County Sheriff's Office, a deputy met with an officer from the Bucyrus Police Department and took custody of Brad A. Mullins on a warrant out of the Wyandot County Juvenile Court.   Mullins was transported to the Wyandot County Jail.   The warrant specified that Mullins is to serve a mandatory 100 day jail sentence after failing to comply with Court orders.

Packages Delivered to Residence Stolen

A theft was reported to Kenton police on Thursday.   According to the report, a resident in an apartment in the 300 block of East Columbus Street told officers that two packages were delivered to her apartment by UPS.   Before she arrived home, the packages were missing.   The incident remains under investigation.

Clean Up Continues in Lima Following Wednesday Storms

Clean up continues in Lima after storms rolled through the area Wednesday evening.   The City of Lima Department of Public Works announced that the Street Division crews is initiating curbside pickup of tree debris now through July 18, 2019.    Residents may place tree branches and tree debris on the tree lawn or on the grass area next to the street.   Street Division crews are currently working to clear streets of limbs and fallen trees. Predictions Indicate Harmful Lake Erie Algae Levels will be Worse Than 2018

Columbus, OH -- Today, National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) researchers and academic partners released the final Harmful Algal Blooms (HAB) seasonal forecast at an event at The Ohio State University’s Stone Laboratory. Kenton Woman Arrested in Logan County on Drug Charges

A Kenton woman was arrested following a traffic stop in Logan County Wednesday evening.   The Bellefontaine Examiner reported that officers from the Washington Township Police Department stopped a car for going across the center line on State Route 274.   Officers conducted a search of the vehicle and found a brown purse belonging to a passenger in the car identified as 29 year old Heather Cox.   The purse allegedly contained a white crystal substance that tested positive for […]

LaRue Man Accused of Forging Prescription Slips

A LaRue man is facing charges following an incident that occurred at the Walmart Pharmacy Wednesday.   According to the report from the Kenton Police Department, officers were dispatched to the pharmacy at the store in reference to forged prescription slips.   The report showed they were from Dr. Paul Wesson's office.   The 44 year old suspect is facing a charge of deception to obtain a dangerous drug.   The incident remains under investigation.

Hardin County Y Enters into Agreement with Lima Y Following Retirement of CEO

The Hardin County YMCA is announcing that long time CEO, Sean Galvin is retiring effective July 31, 2019. He has served as CEO for the past 24 years. Ohio Hi-Point Board Votes to Move Forward with Renovations

BELLEFONTAINE, Ohio – The Ohio Hi-Point Board of Education voted unanimously to move forward with renovations on the Bellefontaine Main Campus during a Special Meeting held Wednesday evening.
