Clothing Items Stolen from Laundromat

A theft was reported to Kenton Police Monday evening.   According to the report, the victim said she placed her laundry in the dryers at the laundromat and left the building for a short time while the clothes dried.   When she returned, all of clothing items were gone.   The items were valued at $300.   The incident is under investigation.

OSP Releases Fourth of July Statistics

COLUMBUS – The Ohio State Highway Patrol is reporting 12 people lost their lives in 12 traffic crashes during the July Fourth reporting period, which began Wednesday, July 3 and ended Sunday, July 7. Impairment was determined to be a factor in at least three of those crashes. Troopers made 709 arrests for impaired driving and 507 for drug-related charges. ONU Engineering Building Nearing Completion

Construction on the James Lehr Kennedy Engineering Building, the new home of the T.J. Smull College of Engineering at Ohio Northern University is in its final phases.    Work began on the 105,000-square-foot facility in the Spring of 2018.   The building will be nearly twice the size of the current 55,000-square-foot Biggs Engineering Building and will feature space for collaboration, class projects and community-building, helping ONU remain on the cutting edge of educating engineers who make a difference.    […]

The Hardin County Board of Revision is scheduled to meet later this month.   The meeting will take place on Thursday July 18 starting at 1:00pm.   It will be held in the Conference Room in the basement of the Hardin County Courthouse in Kenton.

Kenton Firefighters Local IAFF Holding Golf Outing

The Kenton Professional Firefighter's IAFF Local 563 Golf outing is scheduled for July 27.   Check in is a 8 and shotgun start at 9 that morning.   Space is limited and is on a first come basis, so early registration is recommended.   The 4 man scramble is $200.   Checks should be made payable to Kenton Firefighters 563 and mailed to the attention of President Jason Conley 225 South Main Street in Kenton.    To RSVP, call 419-673-1235.

Ohio State Patrol Names New Bucyrus Post Commander

Columbus – Staff Lieutenant Travis A. Hughes was promoted to the rank of captain today by Colonel Richard S. Fambro, Patrol superintendent, during a ceremony at the Patrol’s Training Academy. Captain Hughes will transfer from his current assignment at the Cleveland District Headquarters to serve as commander of the Bucyrus District Headquarters. Woman Wanted in Connection to Suspicious Death Investigation in Hancock County
