A Kenton woman was taken into custody on a warrant Thursday afternoon. According to the Daily Media Release from the Union County Sheriff's Office, a deputy from Union County met with a Hardin County Sheriff's Office deputy and took custody of 36 year old Rachel A. Bordner for an outstanding arrest warrant. Bordner was transported to the Tri County Regional Jail.

The Union County Sheriff’s Office has released additional information about a fatal crash that occurred this past Monday on State Route 38, south of Timber Lane. The driver of the 2011 Ford F-150 has been identified as Steven L. Anderson, age 57 of Marysville. Anderson was traveling southbound on 38 and struck the victim in the roadway. Two people were sentenced recently in Hardin County Common Pleas Court. According to documents from Prosecutor Brad Bailey's Office: Dakari Powell was sentenced to a total of nine years in prison on two counts of aggravated robbery, one with a firearm specification and one count of burglary. Vinson C. Hastings was placed on five years community control with conditions on three counts of aggravated trafficking in drugs. Both cases were heard by Judge Scott Barrett.
