Community Outreach Event Taking Place in Bellefontaine

The Bellefontaine Police Department is holding a Community Outreach event this Thursday evening (June 6).   Residents are invited to Harmon Field Park from 5 until 7 that evening to meet with some Bellefontaine Police Officers and the Citizens Police Academy Alumni.   There will be free hot dogs served while supplies last.   There will also be handouts and Safety Pup will be there.

Crash on I-75 in Hancock County Injures 2

Two people were injured in a three vehicle crash that occurred early this morning on I-75 in Hancock County.   According to a release from the Findlay Post of the Ohio State Patrol, a semi being operated by 51 year old Anthony Breitner, of Dundee, Michigan, struck the rear of a box truck being operated south on 75 by 54 year old Robert Pasho, of Shelby Township, Michigan.   The box detached from the frame of the vehicle and the […]

Average Gas Price Increases in Hardin County

The average price for a gallon of gas in Hardin County climbed 7 cents from last week.   AAA reported that the average price for a gallon of regular grade gas is $2.66 today, compared to $2.59 from last week.   Despite the increase, it was still the cheapest price in our region.   The most expensive is in Logan County where the average cost is $2.82 a gallon.   The statewide average climbed 11 cents per gallon to  $2.77 […]

Lightning Strikes Ignites House Fire in Wyandot County

A lightning strike ignited a house fire in Wyandot County over the weekend.   According to the report from the Wyandot County Sheriff's Office, the homeowner, Brandy Fredritz, stated that the family was inside Saturday night when they saw the flash of lightning and shortly afterward, they looked out and saw what they thought was fog but quickly realized it was smoke.   The family made it out of the house safely.   The Carey and Upper Sandusky Fire Departments […]

Theft Reported at Residence in Kenton

A theft was reported to Kenton police over the weekend.   According to the report, a resident in the 100 block of North Market Street told officers that a trampoline was stolen from his property.   The value of the trampoline was listed at $300.   The incident is under investigation.

OSP to Schedule OVI Checkpoint This Week
