PUCO Grants Hours-of-Service Relief to Intrastate Trucks Hauling Fuel

COLUMBUS, OHIO (May 29, 2019) – The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio (PUCO) today granted temporary regulatory relief from the hours-of-service requirements for drivers operating commercial motor vehicles transporting motor vehicle fuel within the state of Ohio. Bellefontaine Police Department Taking Registrations for DARE Camp

UNOH Commencement Exercises Set for June 9

The University of Northwestern Ohio’s 99th annual commencement exercises will be held this year on Sunday, June 9, at 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. at the Veterans Memorial Civic and Convention Center. Barn Destroyed by Fire Late Tuesday Afternoon

A barn was destroyed by fire Tuesday afternoon south of Kenton. According to information from the Kenton Fire Department, firefighters were dispatched around 3:45 to 18003 Township Road 265. The barn was totally destroyed, and the loss was listed at $100,000. The property is owned by Perry Yoder. A second barn started to catch on fire but was quickly extinguished. Kenton Man Arrested Following Domestic Incident

A Kenton resident was arrested Tuesday after a domestic disturbance. According to the Kenton Police Department report, officers were dispatched to the 600 block of South Wayne Street for a report of a possible domestic violence. After an investigation, 18 year old Hunter Buroker was arrested for domestic violence. He was also charged with underage consumption of an intoxicating liquor.

14 Nuisance Violations Issued Tuesday by Kenton Police Officers

Kenton police officers were busy Tuesday serving notices concerning nuisance violations in the city.   There were 14 notices served to homeowners during the day.   The properties are located in various locations around the city.   The homeowners were given a five day notice to cut down or destroy harmful or noxious weeds, grass or vines.

Theft and Forgery Reported to KPD Tuesday

A Lima man is facing charges following an incident reported to Kenton police on Tuesday.   According to the report, officers were called to Superior Credit Union in reference to a man trying to cash a forged check.   The check belonged to a 25 year old Lima woman.   Charges of theft and forgery are pending against the suspect.   The incident remains under investigation.
