KENTON-Hardin Co. Soroptimist International announced the Club 250 winner for week 19. Patricia Plott will receive $100. Club 250 is a fundraiser that helps to award scholarships to local women and girls.

University of Findlay invites the community to its campus Arbor Day celebration on Tuesday, April 16 at 4:30 p.m. on Cory Street Mall near the gazebo. This event will feature a Hackberry tree planting. Three other tree saplings, including a tulip poplar, redbud, and sugar maple, will also be planted elsewhere on campus at a later date. The Hardin County Agricultural Society met Wednesday, April 3, 2019, for their April board meeting. Nineteen directors and eight guests were present. Corey Ledley, Board President, called the meeting to order. Roger Crowe, Hardin County Commissioner, stated the buildings at the fairgrounds are going to be appraised in April. A Kenton man was sentenced recently in Hardin County Common Pleas Court. According to the document from Prosecutor Brad Bailey's Office: 39 year old Senyca K. Mendenhall was sentenced to 8 months in prison on one count of domestic violence, a fourth degree felony. He was given credit for 65 days time served. The case was heard by Judge Scott Barrett.
