ODOT Plans Several Hardin County Projects this Spring/Summer

The Ohio Department of Transportation District 1 has several projects planned in Hardin County in the coming months.   Resurfacing projects are planned for State Route 81 through Ada, State Route 235 from State Route 309 to the north corporation limit of Ada and State Route 701 from State Route 309 to U.S. 68. Fire Damages Truck in Wyandot County

A box truck was damaged by fire at a residence in Wyandot County Wednesday morning.   According to the report from the Wyandot County Sheriff's Office, the truck was located in the 13,000 block of State Highway 37 when the electrical plugs on a generator that was running in the back of the truck caught on fire.   The Jackson-Forest Fire Department along with Jackson-Forest EMS arrived on scene and tankers from the Wharton and Marseilles Fire Departments were requested. Firearm Stolen from Kenton Residence Wednesday

A burglary was reported to Kenton police on Wednesday.   According to the report, officers were dispatched to a residence in the 1000 block of South Main Street to investigate.   It was discovered that a firearm was stolen.   A 28 year old woman, of Kenton, and a 51 year old man from Lima were listed as suspects, but they have not yet been charged.   The incident remains under investigation.

Kenton Man Arrested on Warrant from Darke County

A Kenton man was arrested on a warrant early Thursday morning.   According to the report from the Kenton Police Department, 32 year old Matthew Kennedy was arrested on the warrant out of Union City, Ohio.   The Daily Log Sheet at the police department showed that Kennedy was walking on Bales Road when he was located and taken into custody.

OhioMeansJobs Hardin County will be hosting a Job Fair and Hiring Expo on Wednesday, April 17 from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Hardin County Fairgrounds in Kenton.   Over 30 employers, agencies and education providers will be on site and hiring full-time, part-time and seasonal positions.   Job seekers should bring resumes and dress for on-the-spot interviews.

Dominion Holding Preparedness Day in Lima

Dominion Energy Ohio, in partnership with the American Red Cross, is holding Preparedness Day on Saturday, April 6, 2019, at Chief’s Supermarket, 890 South Cable Road, Lima.
