Arlington School Lockdown Lifted; Authorities Searching for Suspect

The lockdown at Arlington School was lifted this morning as of around 11:30. Authorities are now searching for a suspect who is said to have injured two people at a nearby house. WFIN Radio quoted Hancock County Sheriff Michael Heldman as saying one adult was taken by helicopter to a Lima hospital. A second teenage victim was taken to Blanchard Valley Hospital. (UPDATE) Arlington School on Lock-down Due to Emergency in the Area

The Arlington school building is currently on lock-down due to an emergency near the school. According to a posting on the school's Facebook page, the students and staff inside the building are safe. Officials at the school are in contact with the Hancock County Sheriff's Office, and they are asking that no one come to the school so emergency personnel are not disrupted. An OhioHealth Primary Care office is changing locations.   According to a release, the office of Dr. Neuhauser and Dr. Crum will move from 60 Washington Blvd to the Medical Office Building at  75 Washington Blvd Suite 103.   The move will take place on Monday April 8th.

Kenton Man Arrested Following Traffic Stop Sunday Morning

A Kenton man was arrested and is facing several charges following a traffic in Kenton early Sunday morning.   According to the Kenton Police Department report, an officer stopped a car on North Leighton Street at Columbus Street, and the driver, identified as 29 year old Craig Robinson, was charged with possession of drugs and drug paraphernalia, open container and for driving under FRA suspension.   The report indicates that several drug and drug paraphernalia items were seized from the […]

Roll Over Accident Injures Upper Sandusky Man

Driver Stopped for Driving Wrong Way on U.S. 23 in Wyandot County

A woman is facing several charged following a incident over the weekend in Wyandot County.   According to the report, a deputy from the Wyandot County Sheriff's Office observed a car travelling south in the northbound lanes of U.S. 23.   After conducting a traffic stop, the driver, identified as  Kalie Beltz, failed a field sobriety test and was arrested.   A deputy found open containers of vodka and whiskey in the vehicle, and Beltz was cited for operating a […]

KPD Investigating Criminal Trespassing Incident

A criminal trespassing incident was reported to Kenton Police over the weekend.   According to the report, officers responded to the 400 block of North Cherry Street where several vehicles had been broken into. It was also discovered that a storage shed at the rear of the property had been entered as well.   It is not known at this time if anything was missing.

UNOH Hosting Spring Preview Day Events

The University of Northwestern Ohio College of Business, College of Health Professions, and College of Occupational Professions will host Spring Preview Day on Friday, April 5th, from 8:30 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.     The University will be offering $21,000 in scholarships to the winners of the “Bob Snyder Scholarship Test”.   The tests will be administered at 11:30 a.m. at the UNOH Event Center.   Scholarship testing is offered to both high school juniors and seniors.     All […]

HN FFA Banquet Set for Thursday

The 2019 Hardin Northern FFA Banquet will take place this Thursday April 4 in the Hardin Northern Junior High Gym.   The event will start at 6 that evening, and all members are required to attend wearing official dress.   Parents, grandparents and community members are encouraged to attend in support of the members and their accomplishments throughout the year.   A catered meal will be served.   The cost of each plate is $15.
