Kenton Woman Arrested on Findlay Warrant

A Kenton woman was arrested on a warrant out of the Findlay Police Department Monday evening.   According to the report from the Kenton Police Department, officers located Rachael McGrath at a residence in the 500 block of Decatur Street.   She was taken into custody and transported to the county line where she was released to the custody of officers from the Findlay Police Department.

Former Allen County Sheriff Pleads Guilty to Charges

The former sheriff of Allen County pleaded guilty to charges in federal court on Monday.   The Lima News reported that Sam Crish pleaded guilty to five counts in a federal indictment that was handed down in June of 2018.   The 56 year old Crish pleaded guilty to two counts of extortion, two counts of soliciting bribes and one count of making a false statement to investigators.   As part of the plea agreement, another count of soliciting bribes […]

Ada School District Now Has Option to Utilize 3 Hour Delay

Starting this week, the Ada Exempted Village School District will begin to consider and enact a Three Hour Delay option.   The plan is being implemented in an effort to maintain as much instructional time possible and to minimize the number of days the district must cancel.   On a three hour delay, all students will still be fed lunch, and the day will not be extended. Soroptimist Annnounces Weekly Winner & Monthly Meeting Date

KENTON-Hardin Co. Soroptimist International announced the Club 250 winner for week 14.   Bev Bahr will receive $100.   Club 250 is a fundraiser that helps to award scholarships to local women and girls.   Also, Soroptimist International will have their March meeting Thursday, March 7th at the Hardin County Sheriff’s Community Room in Kenton.   Due to a conflict, this month's meeting will begin with Social hour at 5:00 pm, and the meeting will begin at 5:30 pm.

Rules Change For Swine Department

Swine exhibitors will be seeing new changes coming to the 2019 Hardin County Fair. According to the press release, the Swine Department will be requiring registration and pictures of all swine exhibited at the Hardin County Fair. There will not be a limit to how many pigs you can have registered, however, there will still be a limit of two pigs for fair exhibition. The 2019 Hardin County Sheep Improvement Association Lamb Banquet was held this weekend at the St. John’s Evangelical Church in Kenton. Exhibitors and supporters from around the county came to enjoy music from “In A Jam” along with celebrating another year of Lamb production. Authorities continue to investigate an incident that was reported this past Friday March 1, 2019.
