Weekly Soroptimist Winner Announced; Meeting Set

KMS Wrestlers Compete in Weekend Tournament

Kenton Middle School wrestlers competed in their last regular season tournament over the weekend at Elida field house. Kenton placed twelfth out of twenty teams with a score of 60 points. Top finishers for Kenton were Anthony Hunt, Kade Smith, Ethan Blankenship and Gavin Manns. Students and Parents Invited to KMS Family Day

Counterfeit Money Used at Kenton Business

A counterfeit bill was used at Porterhouse on West Lima Street over the weekend.   According to the report, upon arrival, officers were shown a suspected counterfeit $5 bill by an employee.   The bill was determined to be counterfeit and was confiscated to be turned over to the Secret Service.   The woman who used the bill at the store is not suspected of being the one who manufactured it and is not a suspect, but is considered to […]

Fire Damages Barn in Wyandot County

A chimney fire occurred at a residence in Wyandot County Sunday evening.   Firefighters from the Sycamore Fire Department were dispatched to the 1300 block of County Highway 30 where the fire was located in a barn on the property.   According to the Wyandot County Sheriff's Office report, the resident, Richard F. Drivers Escape Injury in Wyandot County Crash

A weekend crash damaged two vehicles in Wyandot County over the weekend.   According to the report from the Wyandot County Sheriff's Office, 37 year old Mark Dircksen, of Tiffen, was driving south on State Highway 53 and was not able to stop in time to avoid  colliding with a vehicle in from of him that was attempting to make a right turn onto County Highway 47.   His car struck the rear of the vehicle, which was being driven […]

Theft Reported at Walmart in Kenton

A theft was reported at Walmart over the weekend.   According to the Kenton Police Department report, officers were requested at the store where they were informed that a woman allegedly stole several clothing and miscellaneous items.   The suspect, listed on the report as a Bellefontaine woman, is facing a charge of theft.
