High Winds Blow Over Two Semis Sunday

There were two reports of semis being blown over as a result of the wind gusts.   The first was reported just before 1:30 Sunday afternoon in the 20,000 block of State Route 31 south of Mt. Victory. Wind Damage Reported in Wyandot County

Property damage was reported in Wyandot County, where a tree fell and damaged a barn on property located in the 3000 block of Township Highway 107.   A tree fell on a house and also struck two vehicles parked in the driveway at 308 South Garrett Street in Nevada. Man Arrested on a Warrant Following Traffic Stop in Wyandot County

A man was arrested on a warrant following a traffic stop in Wyandot County over the weekend.   According to the report from the Wyandot County Sheriff's Office, a deputy stopped a car on State Highway 53 that was travelling 76 miles an hour in a 55 miles an hour speed zone.   The driver, Richard Taylor, was found to have a warrant for his arrest out of Hancock County for failure to appear.   He was issued a citation […]

Findlay Man Charged Following Fight on Friday

A Findlay man was arrested following a report of a fight on Friday.   According to the report from the Findlay Police Department, officers were dispatched to the 1000 block of Cedar Avenue where the fight occurred, and where there was a report that a firearm had been discharged.   Following an investigation, 23 year old Jared A. High Wind Warning Expires at 10 Sunday Night

High winds blew through the area Sunday. A high wind warning is in effect until 10 Sunday night. During the day, sustained winds of 20 to 30 miles an hour was reported. There was an occasional higher gust of up to 65 miles an hour. Scattered power outages occurred, at one time taking WKTN off the air when the electric went out at the transmitter site. Fire Destroys House in Kenton

Kenton firefighters battled very high winds in a house fire that occurred Sunday morning in Kenton. Firefighters were dispatched to 1022 West North Street. Upon arrival, smoke and flames were visible pouring from the residence. Three adults made it out safe. The American Red Cross provided assistance to the residents. The cause has not yet been determined, and the fire remains under investigation. Firefighters were on the scene for several hours.
