Avery’s Law Goes Into Effect Tomorrow in Ohio

Avery’s Law becomes effective in Ohio tomorrow. The law strengthens Ohio's dangerous dog laws following a severe 2024 attack. Key provisions include mandatory euthanasia for dogs causing severe injury or death, increased criminal penalties for negligent owners, immediate dog seizure authority, and mandatory liability insurance of at least $100,000 for designated vicious dogs.
