Hardin County Historical Museums, Inc. There was a great turnout for the Hardin County Historical Museums first History After Hours event Thursday evening. The topic for the inaugural event was on Ray Brown. David Strittmatter gave an engaging presentation. History After Hours will be held on the last Thursday of every month. Ohio Hi-Point Career Center State Senator Susan Manchester visited the Ohio Hi-Point Career Center campus this week. She met with Superintendent Brad Richardson and toured a few of the school's career-tech programs. During her visit, she was presented with a customized nameplate for her office. It was created by Ohio Hi-Point's Welding and Fabrication students.
The Upper Scioto Valley Junior High Athletic Awards Night will be held on Monday, March 2. It will start at 6:15 PM in the Junior High Gym. Hardin County OSU Extension Master Gardeners Hardin County OSU Extension Master Gardeners welcomed its newest volunteer. Laurie Haney was presented her certificate at this week's meeting by Nic Baumer, Hardin County ANR Educator. Haney is presenting a program on Raised Bed Gardening at the Ada Public Library this Saturday, February 28th at 1:00 pm. The library is at 320 North Main Street in Ada.

The Hardin County Farm Bureau announced a scholarship program that is open for female students in Hardin and surrounding counties. Young women pursuing a degree in agriculture, or planning a career in the ag industry, can apply. The Women’s Agri-Intelligence Conference is offering a scholarship to support a student dedicated to agriculture.
