The Ada Bulldogs Baseball team is hosting a youth camp on July 10 and 11. For a $30 registration fee, each camper gets two days of hands-on coaching from Coach Deitering and members of the baseball program, plus two tickets to a Dayton Dragons baseball game. Riverdale will be sending athletes to regionals in track & field in a plethora of events. On the boys’ side, Grant Inbody earned his spot in the shot put and claimed the district title in discus. Riley Newton and Jake Cook will both advance to Regionals in track & field for the Hardin Northern Polar Bears. Cook finished 4th in the high jump while Newton advanced in the 100m, 200m, and 400m. They will now compete at regionals at Fostoria High School, held Thursday, May 28th, and Saturday, May 30th.
The Kenton Wildcats had a phenomenal showing at this year's OHSAA district track & field meet. Eight Wildcats in total secured a spot at regionals in Piqua next week. The girls’ 4x800m relay team of Marissa Ledley, Quinlyn Spearman, Addy Haudenschield, and Addi Manns took 4th place to advance. This season, four Ridgemont High School softball players earned recognition from the Northwest Central Conference. Riley Hites was named First Team All-NWCC, Addison Coy secured a spot on the Second Team, and teammates Aubrie Overly and Brilynn Rudasill received honorable mentions.
USV softball had four athletes earn All-NWCC recognition for their efforts in the 2026 season. Ashlyn Downing was the Rams' sole 1st team selection, Raegan Castle secured a 2nd team spot, and Ruby Risner and Layla Hunsicker joined as honorable mentions.
It’s no shock that the NWCC champion Hardin Northern Polar Bears made a strong showing on this year’s All-Conference teams. Nine players earned recognition for their on-field performance, and Boyd Stewart took home Coach of the Year honors.. Five Polar Bears, Baylie and Addy Bacon, Kaitlyn Whitaker, Morgan Stewart, and Lyla Holtzberger, earned First Team All-NWCC honors. They were joined by Milee Seabrook and Ava Delaney on the Second Team, while Karli Fath and Vivian Overs received honorable mentions.
Upper Scioto Valley softball player Ashlyn Downing has been named Second Team All-Northwest District. Ashlyn was a steady and important contributor for the Rams all season long. Her effort, consistency, and commitment to the program were recognized with this honor.
