Kenton High School Girls Varsity Volleyball beat Ada High School 3-1

Wildcat Volleyball defeated the Ada Bulldogs in 4 sets (25-19, 25-21, 20-25, 25-14) It was a hard fought county battle.  Riley Totten had a strong serving match, serving 94% with 6 aces. She also added 9 receptions and 11 digs.  Strong net play by Morgan Lyons with 13 kills, Sadie Larrabee 12 kills and 8 blocks while Macee Heckathorn added 11 kills and 4 blocks. Kenton Girls 8th Grade Volleyball beat Ottawa Elem. 2-1

The Lady Wildcats had to battle to the end to pick up their first victory of the season, defeating Ottawa 25-17, 14-25, 25-22. Aryanna Gradick had assists to Karen Hopkins, Sidney Payne, Olivia Grasley, Sierra Vansky and Kylie Adams; all of which had at least 1 kill. Wildcats Fall to Coldwater

The Kenton Wildcats scored first but the Coldwater Cavaliers slowly pulled away to post a 37 to 2 victory in season-opening football action Friday at Robinson Field. The Wildcats scored first on a safety via a botched punt by the Cavaliers but could not take advantage of good field position in the first quarter. KHS Cheerleaders Hosted a Mini Cheer Camp

The Kenton High School cheerleaders recently hosted a Mini Cheer Camp. 66 students in grades kindergarten through 8th attended the camp.   The campers learned sideline chants and cheers, worked on jumps and tumbling and choreographed a dance.  The mini-cheerleaders will cheer during the August 26th home football game against Elida.

ONU Tennis Star Receives NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship

ADA, Ohio - Ohio Northern University 2022 engineering graduate Andrew Cochran, an accomplished tennis player, has been selected to receive a coveted NCAA Postgraduate Scholarship. The NCAA awards up to 126 postgraduate scholarships annually. The scholarships are awarded to student-athletes who excel academically and athletically and who are at least in their final year of intercollegiate athletics competition. Three to be Inducted into USHS Athletic Hall of Fame

Jake Diebler, Jon Diebler and Kathy Perry will be inducted into the Upper Sandusky High School Athletic Hall of Fame. The ceremony will be held prior to the Bucyrus-Upper Sandusky varsity football game on Friday, September 16.  There will be a reception from 5:45-6:30 that evening for fans to greet inductees.  The induction ceremony will begin at 6:40 p.m. on the stadium field.

Kenton Youth Soccer Camp Starts Tuesday

The 2022 Kenton Youth Soccer Camp will be conducted by the Kenton Boys Soccer Coaches and Players. The camp will start tomorrow (Aug 2) and will continue through this Friday, August 5th. The hours are 9-11am at the KHS Soccer Fields.  The cost of the camp is $30 which includes instruction each day, a camp t-shirt, and snack each morning.  The camp is for kids age 4 through 8th grade. USHS Announces Two Sporting Event Changes

The Upper Sandusky High School announced some changes for a couple of sporting events in August. The varsity girls and varsity boys soccer matches with Clyde have been moved from August 20 to Thursday, August 18. The girls match will begin at 5 p.m. with the boys match to follow at 7. The matches will be played at Upper Sandusky.
