Arlington Knocks Off Ada in Boys Basketball

Ada Bulldogs’ Ethan Murphy hits a late 3 pointer in a losing effort Tuesday night. The Arlington Red Devils prevailed 66-50. Arlington’s Zavier Thornton lead all scorers with 31 points, 27 of those coming from behind the 3 point line. Former Bulldog Brandon Hull also had 19 points for the Red Devils. Tristan Conley lead scorers for the Bulldogs.

Ridgemont Edges Ada in Girls Basketball

The Ridgemont Lady Gopher hosted The Ada Lady Bulldogs in basketball action on Monday Night. Junior Callie Cromer lead the Gophers with 18 points and Junior Brooke Nelson chipped in 12 for the 42-40 win for Ridgemont over Ada in the county rival. Ada’s Sophomore Courtney Sumner lead the Bulldogs with 20 points. Ridgemont is now 7-7 overall and will travel to Perry on January 21st and Ada is now 3-7 overall and will travel to Crestview on the 21st.

Pandemic Moves Riverdale BB Schedule

Riverdale High School has been forced to postpone an upcoming boys’ basketball game. The Falcons’ upcoming tilt against Cory-Rawson has been moved from Friday, January 22, to Saturday, January 23, because of coronavirus issues at Cory-Rawson. The night is expected to begin with the junior-varsity game tipping off at five p.m.

While Kenton High School's wrestling team failed to win any of their dual meets at Allen East over the weekend, 170-pound senior Carter Bays added five victories to his resume, scoring two pins, two decisions, and one forfeit. Bays' decisions came against Allen East's Gage Wireman and Grant Young of Van Buren. The Kenton Lady Wildcats improved to 6-6 on the season and 3-2 in the WBL as they downed the Wapakoneta Redskins last night by the score of 39-28. The Cats Lead at the half by 6 and won by 11 points.
