Kenton Wildcats bowling closed out the regular season hosting Wapakoneta Tuesday on Senior night. The girls' team came out on top by a score of 2184 - 2045. Kenton jumped ahead early after the first individual games, 751-683, and extended their lead to 177 pins after the second set, 755-646, heading into the five baker games up 1506-1329. Four Local Wrestlers Place at 47th Sally George Wrestling Invite

H/T Amy Phelps Four area athletes took placements at the 47th Sally George Wrestling Invitational over the weekend. Grady Phillips kept up his impressive streak with another first-place finish in his weight class, while his Riverdale teammate Kydin Reed grabbed third place. H/T Amy Phelps The Kenton Wildcats were also well represented at the annual tournament, with Issac Blevins earning a championship and Isiah Mundy a 2nd place.

Kenton Boys Bowling Rolled Four School Records in Tight Match Against Celina

The Kenton Wildcats set four school records Thursday night, using every one of them to edge out WBL rival Celina 3195-3172. They opened strong with a 982 first individual game but trailed by four pins, 982-986. In the second game, they smashed a school record with 1126 (248-241-235-228-174) to Celina’s 1057, grabbing a 65-pin lead heading into the five baker games at 2108-2043. Two Falcons Medal at Van Buren Invite

Grady Phelps 138 LBS Champion H/T Riverdale Local Schools The Riverdale wrestling team competed in the Van Buren Invitational over the weekend. Two Falcons were able to secure medals in their respective weight divisions. Grady Phelps took home first place in the 138 LBS weight class after beating Liberty Center's Daine Bayer in the finals. Fellow Falcon Kydin Reed snagged a 3rd place finish in the 190 LBS weight division.
