The Falcons gave it their all in a tough match against a strong Mansfield Christian team. Riverdale pushed the 2nd-seed Flames into overtime but narrowly fell short with a 3-4 loss. Goals for Riverdale came from Lilly Mowery who netted two and Marissa Bonham. All three Falcons goals were assisted, with Emily O'Flaherty delivering two helpers and Gwen Bucher adding one as well.
The Kenton boys and girls cross country teams are heading to Regionals after both secured 4th place finishes at the Division 3 District meet in Galion. This marks the fourth consecutive season the girls team has advanced to Regionals. For the boys, Wade Manns led the way with an impressive 2nd place finish, clocking in at 16:32.38. The Riverdale boys' soccer team has had quite a rollercoaster season. At the start, the program was on the verge of being disbanded due to a shortage of players. When the Falcons finally hit the field, they endured a tough regular season, finishing with a 4-13 record. Riverdale boys' and girls' soccer athletes were honored for their outstanding performance on the field with NCOSA All-League selections. H/T Carey Jr High Football Carey Jr High School's 8th Grade football team had an incredible season, securing their second consecutive league title. The Blue Devils boasted an impressive 15-1 record, achieving 10 shutouts, scoring a staggering 404 points, and allowing just 54 points all year.
The Ridgemont boys' golf team dominated the NWCC awards after winning the league title for the second year in a row. Dawson Manns was named Golfer of the Year, and Collin Wallace took home Coach of the Year honors.
