After a record-setting season, Ridgemont running back Mason Howard was selected to the All-Northwest District First Team. The senior holds Ridgemont’s records for career rushing yards, touchdowns, total touchdowns, and points scored, as well as single-season marks for rushing yards, touchdowns, total touchdowns, and points scored.
Upper Scioto Valley High School football standout Beau Sanders has been selected to the First Team All-Northwest District as a Defensive Lineman. Sanders earned this recognition for his outstanding performance throughout the 2025 season, showcasing exceptional strength, consistency, and leadership on the field.
The Kenton Wildcats traveled to Wapakoneta to face Waynesfield, coming away with a decisive 1831-1104 victory. Despite a slow start, they built a 170-pin lead after the first individual games, then followed up with a strong 705 in the second to stretch the lead to nearly 500 pins. The Kenton Wildcat Boys Bowling Team kicked off the season Tuesday night with a dominant 2678-1739 win over Lima Perry. They started strong with a 902 first game, taking a 301-pin lead at 902-601. In the second game, they added to their advantage with an 815, going into the bakers up 1717-1170. The Kenton Wildcats Girls Bowling team kicked off their season in record-breaking style Tuesday, defeating Perry in a modified match 2070-1402. They set a school record in the first individual game with a score of 918, highlighted by Brayla Butler’s 218 and Karyn Hopkins’ school-record 288. Allison Woodruff, a former standout for the Riverdale Falcons, has carried her cross-country career to new heights, earning first-team all-Ohio Athletic Conference honors as a freshman. During high school, she qualified for state in track all four years, set Riverdale school records in the 1600 and 3200, and was part of the record-breaking 4x800 relay team.
After the first undefeated regular season in program history and an Ohio Athletic Conference championship, Ohio Northern Men's Soccer has carried its momentum into the postseason. The Polar Bears posted an impressive 11-0-6 record during the regular season and secured a 4-1 win over Mount Union in the OAC semifinals. The victory advances ONU to the finals, where they will face regular-season runner-up Otterbein on Sunday, November 9th.
Kenton Wildcats receiver Zayne Perkins earned 2nd Team Offensive Skill honors from the Western Buckeye League. His teammates Jayden Mustain, Maddux McFarlin, Alex Rogel, and Garry Phipps also received recognition with honorable mentions. The WBL honored Tyler Doeden-Kiessling of Defiance and Mason Ludwig of Wapak as Co-Offensive Linemen of the Year.
