Kenton Girls Varsity Softball beats Ottawa-Glandorf 15 – 5

The Wildcats take a 5 inning win against Ottawa-Glandorf. Brynn Butler led on offense with 4 hits bringing in 4 runs. Altogether the Wildcats pulled in 10 stolen bases and 9 hits on the day. Emily Pees, Riley Totten, Brayla Butler, Alexis Ratliff, and Brailyn Thacker all had hits. Ratliff had a great day on the mound and there was great effort put in by everyone on the team.

Kenton Girl’s Track finished 5th Place at Celina Invite

The girls' team began their season by taking 5th place out of 8 teams at the Celina Invite. Notably, they outperformed Elida, Ottoville, and Decatur Bellmont. Delaney Buxton secured 3rd place in Pole Vault, while Addi Manns achieved the same position in the 3200-meter race. Additionally, both the 4x4 and 4x8 relay teams captured 3rd place. The Kenton boys kicked off their first meet on Saturday with strong competition. Among eight teams, they secured a respectable 6th place, surpassing Elida and Decatur Bellmont. Notably, Carson Delong showcased remarkable resilience, having recently recovered from knee surgery, and secured 3rd place in the 100-meter dash along with a 4th place finish in long jump. Hunt Ready For State

Kenton Senior Anthony Hunt is ready to compete in the 2024 OHSAA Div II State Wrestling tournament this weekend at the Schottenstein Center on the campus of The Ohio State University. Anthony is the 6th Kenton Wrestler to qualify for State, and the first since Noah Eikenbary in 2020. Four Wildcat Wrestlers Qualify for Districts

Kenton was well represented at the division two sectional wrestling tournament at Clyde High School this past Saturday. Four of the seven wrestlers that entered the contest made the podium and qualified for districts at Norwalk to continue chasing there dreams to make it to State.
