The USV varsity baseball team faced off against Waynesfield-Goshen on Wednesday, coming out on top with a 13-3 win. The Rams started strong with a six-run first inning and kept control the whole game. Jesse Prater pitched all five innings, giving up just one hit and striking out seven. At the plate, Caiden Lowery and Wyatt Davis led the way driving in three runs. The win moves the Rams’ record to 4-10 overall and 3-4 in the NWCC.
The Kenton Boys Tennis team hit the road to Fostoria on Monday night for a non-league match, coming out on top with a 3-2 win over the Redmen. In 1st Singles, Garraden Wirbel beat Landan Sherman 6-1, 6-2. Cory-Rawson defeated Upper Scioto Valley 8-7 in eight innings Monday night in a Northwest Central Conference matchup. Cory-Rawson scored the game-winning run in the bottom of the 8th when Austin Inbody led off with a single. Inbody then stole second and third before scoring on an error.
