
***Update 12/18/2025 3:30 P.M.** At this time, the Ada Police Department does not believe there to be a credible threat to the residents of Ada. They are currently waiting for further details from their partnering agencies.
An Allen County woman, who reported that she was assaulted in Ada on November 24, was found dead in her home three days later.
According to a release from the Ada Police Department, Paula Dirmeyer told officers that she was assaulted within the Village of Ada by a known individual.
Information was gathered from her, and an investigation was initiated.
On November 27th, Ada PD was notified by the Allen County Sheriff’s Office that Dirmeyer was found dead in her rural Allen County home, and her body was transported to Lucas County for an autopsy.
This continues to be an ongoing investigation, and no other information is being released at this time.
