The Wildcats used another strong defensive effort to beat Bluffton 54-34 today in non-league action. The Wildcats were led in scoring by Sidney Payne with 22 points. Macee Heckathorn scored 9, Liv Nolting scored 8 points, Brylee Bostelman and Sadie Larrabee each had 6 points, and Kyla Bostater scored 3 points. Obituary for Robert Joseph Butterman

Robert Joseph Butterman, age 88 of Mansfield and formerly of Kenton passed away at Wedgewood Estates in Mansfield on December 21, 2024. He was born in Detroit, MI on August 6, 1936 to the late George and Velma (Barron) Butterman. He married Barbara Weston on August 4, 1955 and she preceded him in death in 2011. The Kenton Wildcats win a tough game tonight over Elida 50-48. The Cats were led in scoring by Sidney Payne with 16 points. Sadie Larrabee scored 10 points while Macee Heckathorn had 9 and Brylee Bostelman had 8 points. Liv Nolting scored 6 points and Kyla Bostater rounded out the scoring with 1 point. Kenton Girls Varsity Bowling beats Harding 1614 – 1155

The Kenton Wildcats rolled individual games of 677 each to take a 401 pin lead over Marion-Harding 1354 - 953. The Wildcats added bakers of 133 & 127 to finish with a 1614 - 1155 victory. High series of 338 (174 - 164) was rolled by Mackenzie Kugel.  Karyn Hopkins added a 303 (145 - 158). The Wildcats are off until they host 14 girls teams December 27 at the Kenton Holiday Baker Tournament.

The Kenton Wildcats rolled an 823 1st individual games but fell behind Marion-Harding by 15 pins. The Wildcats came back with an 854 2nd individual games to take a 74 pin lead going into the bakers. Kenton 8th grade boys basketball team got their 2nd win Wednesday night with a 39-25 victory over Allen East.  The Wildcats were led by Issac Gordon with 12 points while Tanner Butcher added 10.
