Hardin County Historical Museums Launches Free Monthly Speaker Series

Hardin County Historical Museums, Inc. Hardin County Historical Museums announced a new free monthly speaker series. It will be held on the last Thursday of every month. February's topic will feature Ray Brown, as the Museum celebrates Black History Month. That will be on February 26 starting at 6pm at 223 North Main Street in Kenton. The guest speaker is Dr. David Strittmatter.

Ohio Farm Bureau Accepting Applications for Bill and Helen Swank Scholarship

The Ohio Farm Bureau is accepting applications for its Bill and Helen Swank Scholarship. It is in honor of Dr. C. William Swank who was the Ohio Farm Bureau executive vice president from 1968-1996, and he served the Farm Bureau for a total of 40 years.   To apply for this scholarship or one of the many others, visit ofbf.org/scholarships. The deadline to apply is March 31.

USDA Designates 28 Ohio Counties as Natural Disaster Areas due to Drought

COLUMBUS, Ohio, February 12, 2026 – This Secretarial natural disaster designation allows the United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Farm Service Agency (FSA) to extend much-needed emergency credit to producers recovering from natural disasters through emergency loans. Hardin County – The annual Hardin County Beef Banquet will be held on Saturday, March 28 at the Hardin County Fair Community Building. The doors will open at 6:00 p.m. with the banquet beginning at 6:30 p.m. Banquet tickets this year are $20.00 presale, $25.00 at the door. Non-exhibitors ages 7-12 are $10.00. Kenton Man Involved in Rollover Crash in Union County

A Kenton man was involved in a rollover crash that occurred Thursday morning in Union County. According to the report from the Marysville Post of the Ohio State Highway Patrol, 51-year-old Kipton Sharp lost control of his vehicle while driving south on State Route 31.
